Beatrice Cadbury Appreciation Society
Beatrice Cadbury (1884-1976), or Little B, was the youngest daughter of the Cadbury chocolate empire in Birmingham, who reached an astonishing decision when she was in her thirties. She was going to give up all her inherited wealth and share it amongst the Cadbury workers. But it wasn’t that simple…
Through this website and in a forthcoming series of talks and podcasts I’ll be telling The Amazing Story of Little B, and sharing my appreciation for this bold, principled and quite remarkable woman.
Acocks Green Writers Group
This is a group I set up recently to provide support and motivation for emerging writers like myself. We meet once a month to share successes (and, inevitably, rejections) and to critique each other’s stories.
